David Wise - Chief Executive Officer, Founder
David has more than 13 years of management experience in the telecommunications industry. A graduate of the Citadel, David worked as a Senior Account Executive with Intermedia Communications providing voice and data services to enterprise and wholesale accounts. David later co-founded Rapid Link, a leading provider of International callback and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. As VP of Business Development for Rapid Link, David developed new markets, structured agreements with international telcos and ISPs, built out Rapid Link's global network and grew annual revenue to more than $50 million in less than 6 years. David then founded DOW Networks with a focus on providing niche international call center markets with customized voice and data services.
Weston Edmunds - Executive Vice President
Weston has more than 10 years experience in business including international financial transactions and international telecommunications. Prior to joining DOW Networks, Weston worked for the world-wide leader of asset management software Datastream. While there, he helped increase revenues from $32 million to $98 million. Weston has a Master's degree in Accounting from the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, and a bachelor's degree in English from The Citadel.
Kevin Robinson - Vice President, Network Operations
Kevin began his career at Renaissance Worldwide, an IT outsource company as a member of their network infrastructure support teams. He then moved to eHatchery LLC, where he was responsible for the build out and support of their Windows and Unix-based networks. Subsequently, Kevin worked at Rapid Link where he was responsible for the engineering of terminating routes to multiple international destinations as well as managing the company’s interconnections with Tier 1 carriers. Kevin graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. Kevin is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) and has completed a variety of Cisco networking courses.
James Wilson - Vice President, Key Global Accounts
James has more than 15 years of international telecommunications sales and business development experience. In 1996, James started one of the first international callback companies in Eastern Europe and later became the country director for Rapid Link CZ s.r.o. which also became the first Voice over IP carrier in Eastern Europe. James graduated from the University of Georgia. Prior to attending college, James served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of sergeant as a veteran of Desert Storm.
Jim Butorac - Vice President, Business Development
Jim has more than 20 years of business development, sales and marketing experience in telecommunications. Prior to joining DOW Networks, Jim was VP of Marketing at Rapid Link where he was responsible for international customer acquisition, revenue growth and channel management. While there, Jim helped to develop Voice over IP solutions for international businesses and contact centers. At DOW Networks, Jim has continued to develop international markets for the company’s Voice over IP product sets. Jim has an MBA from the Owen School, Vanderbilt University with a dual concentration in marketing and finance. Prior to that, Jim was an officer in the Marine Corps, serving overseas in Desert Storm.
Jim Walken - Senior Vice President, Sales
Jim has more than 20 years experience in the telecommunications, contact center and enterprise software industries. Jim started his career with Sprint in field management. Later he was Vice President of Sales at Fujitsu Business Systems and held executive director sales management positions at Envision Telephony, Lucent, Mosaix, Inc. and Syntellect. Jim has a bachelor’s degree in communications and journalism for the University of Missouri.
Orlando Perez - Vice President, Engineering
Orlando has 20 years experience in communications in the United States Army including voice, data, satellite, and radio communications. During the first Gulf War, Orlando was crew chief for a team that conducted circuit installations for the Patriot missile system in Saudi Arabia. After retiring from the military in 1999, Orlando joined Rapid Link in the development of the Voice over IP industry where he worked on Voice over IP peering arrangements with large international carriers such as Korea Telecom and Malaysia Telecom. In 2002, Orlando joined DOW Networks and since then has successfully deployed voice gateways in more than 30 countries. Prior to his current position, Orlando had responsibility for building out the company network and infrastructure. Orlando has extensive training in a number of Cisco networking courses and has also completed training in Asterisk PBX systems.
Heather Bryson - Director, Marketing
Heather has more than 12 years of experience in traditional and digital marketing communications supporting telecommunications and media industries. Prior to joining DOW Networks, Heather was Manager, Marketing Services for Cox Enterprises consulting with internal television, radio and newspaper clients on various business-to-business marketing initiatives. She also managed business marketing activities at Dataradio Corporation, BellSouth and AT&T. Heather graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelors in Marketing Management and a Masters degree from the University of Alabama in Advertising and Public Relations.
